Subguards is a UK-based brand that has made its mark by focusing on high-quality rashguards and no-gi apparel. The company emphasizes durability and fit, producing gear that is well-suited for both training and competition. Its designs often lean toward clean, modern aesthetics with an emphasis on practicality rather than excessive flair.

The brand’s niche lies in its attention to details such as reinforced stitching and performance fabrics, which ensure that its gear meets the demands of serious grapplers. Among the athletes who trust Subguards is Shane Curtis (“The Gothlord”), a BJJ black belt and ADCC UK Pro Champion who competes on major UK shows including Polaris. The brand also creates custom gear for Pro MMA fighters and ADCC-level grapplers, allowing competitors to incorporate their sponsor logos into personalized designs. While its catalog is relatively focused compared to larger brands, this narrow scope allows Subguards to specialize and deliver consistently strong products.

By combining dependable quality with a straightforward approach, Subguards has carved out a place in the UK’s grappling community as a trusted provider of no-gi essentials.
