About Kitsune
Kitsune is a boutique BJJ brand that stands out for its modern, art-inspired approach to grappling gear. Based in the United States, the label takes its name from the Japanese word for “fox,” reflecting both agility and creative spirit. Kitsune has positioned itself as a niche company with a sharp focus on design and storytelling, offering products that resonate with practitioners who see martial arts as both sport and culture.
The brand’s catalog features kimonos, rashguards, and no-gi apparel, often distinguished by minimalist layouts paired with symbolic or graphic accents. Kitsune releases tend to be limited, catering to athletes who appreciate exclusivity and collectability in their training gear.
Beyond aesthetics, Kitsune places a strong emphasis on quality, using durable fabrics and precise tailoring to ensure performance on the mats. Their work is often compared to art drops in streetwear, where each release carries a theme or narrative. This positioning has helped Kitsune gain recognition as one of the more stylish and concept-driven labels in Jiu-Jitsu, appealing especially to younger grapplers and design-conscious athletes.

I love my Kitsune Twin Dragon bag. Lots of pockets. 3 different ways to carry it, hideaway backpack straps and fits 2 gis+. It’s regularly on Bjjhq as well.

That makes sense. Havent tried nano yet but I have kitsune cursive light gi which I absolutely hate it's material/thinness. So maybe ultralight stiff gi may suite me better

Kitsune - their gold weave is very soft. But also gets stinky real quick.

Here is a readout of my gis: Kitsune: great cuts, quite durable. My go-to gi at this point. Can snag them for sub $100 on BJJHQ.com. I have 2 of them in rotation Half Sumo: Great looking, mostly durable, but kind of underwhelming for the $200 price tag. Sanabul: I don't really wear mine anymore, but damn you can't go wrong at the price. They are really good. Supernatural Survival: I don't have it yet... but it's on the way... it's a meme gi, for sure, but damn I can't wait to walk into my gym wearing it...
