6’3 290 and my Fuji A5 even feels slightly large sometimes. I have a cheap elite A5 that is comfortable but not competition

Sanabul and elite! Decent price, decent quality!

Sanabul and elit feel like wearing sandpaper. They are uncomfortably thick, stiff, and hot. Not worth the cost at all.

Another vote for Fuji. I thought the elite gis were trash. I would only recommend elite if you are brand new to the sport and not sure if you are going to stick with it and don’t want to invest. If you are not limited to Amazon, I would suggest signing up for emails on the websites of gis you do like. They go on sale periodically (especially for holidays like Labor Day, Black Friday, etc. ) and that’s the time to pull the trigger. My favorite brands are war tribe and Hayabusa.

A lot of gi's are made in Pakistan but the quality in gi's still differ dramatically. The weaves and fabrics matter. For example I own Fuji, Shoyoroll, Kingz, Elite, and Tatami and they all feel very different. Elite from Amazon really is workable and will do you just fine to start with

It depends on your body type and style preference. There is also correlation between personality and chosen gi brand. I would get an Elite and spend some time looking at what the ppl at your new gym wear.
